The 2025 Edition of Sport for Social Good took place in Dublin on October 15th, bringing together leaders from across the sporting sector to discuss how sport can drive meaningful social impact. Paralympics Ireland was pleased to take part in this year’s event, contributing to an important conversation about developing inclusive pathways in Para sport.

Our representatives Cliona Horan, Brian Hughes and Neasa Russell joined the panel to share insights into the Allianz Next Gen initiative and the crucial role it plays in identifying and supporting young Para athletes. They highlighted how the programme opens the door for participants to explore their potential, and how, with the right support and pathways, those early experiences can lead to achieving dreams that once felt out of reach.

Their discussion sat within a broader morning of thought-provoking sessions, featuring contributions from Special Olympics Ireland, Local Sports Partnerships, and ParkHIIT, all showcasing the diverse ways sport can create opportunities and strengthen communities.

A full recording of the conversations is available below.
