Organisers of this year’s Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association (CPISRA) Football World Championships in England have launched the tournament’s volunteer programme.
They are looking to recruit more than 100 people, aged 18 or older, to the Team7 Volunteer Programme, with less than six months to go until the first match at St George’s Park in Burton upon Trent, which is due to take place on June 16.
The roles available include welcoming spectators to St George’s Park, working in the tournament office, transporting players, staff and VIPs, and overseeing the training pitches.
Volunteers can also accompany the teams as a liaison officer, write match reports with the media team and help ground staff to prepare pitches.
A total of 16 countries will compete at the Championships, with seven qualifying places for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games up for grabs.
The draw for the event is due to take place in March.
