This weekend our Chef de Mission Denis Toomey, Performance Director Dave Malone & Acting Performance Assistant Hayley Burke will be travelling to our pre Games training base in Uberlandia, Brazil, and also Rio to compete a further recce.
We will be holding a familiarisation camp for a number of athletes across various sports in Uberlandia in August this year to road test our sports science and medicine systems and the pre-Games training facilities. The trio travel there to finalise all arrangements for that camp this week, and will then fly back to Rio for a site visit hosted by the Games Organising Committee.
