Ireland’s Noelle Lenihan has today been named as one of ten rising stars to watch out for at this year’s Games.
The 16-year-old made headlines back in October, when she secured a silver medal in a combined class event at the World Championships in Doha after breaking the discus F38 world record which had stood since September 2006.With all roads now leading to Rio this September, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has released their list of ten rising stars for the Games, which features the young athletes who they believe could make a big name for themselves on the world’s biggest stage this autumn.Noelle has been named on the prestigious list alongside a host of other talented athletes such as Isis Holt of Australia and Maria Lyle of Great Britain.
