A three-man Paralympic Sonar sailing team that features John Twomey, Ian Costello and Austin O’Carroll will compete at the annual International Sailing Federation (ISAF) World Cup series opener in Miami this week.
The talented sailors will be joined by their Irish Olympic counterparts Annalise Murphy, Ryan Seaton and Matt McGovern at the event, along with teams from 64 nations who are all vying for supremacy in the first big sailing showdown of 2016. More than 780 athletes will feature across the Olympic and Paralympic events which got underway earlier today (Monday) at approximately 3pm Irish time.
