Paralympics Ireland have announced that Derek Kinnevey has been appointed to the position of Communications and Marketing Manager and will take up the position from September 27th.
Galway native, Kinnevey comes to Paralympics Ireland from the Ladies Gaelic Football Association where he was the PR and Media Manager since 2012. He oversaw the development of the LGFA Communications and PR strategy that saw the sport continue it’s growth in participation levels and achieve a record attendance at the TG4 All Ireland Finals in 2016.
Kinnevey will now help to develop the communications and marketing plans for Paralympics Ireland who will host the Para Swimming European Championships in 2018 at the National Aquatic Centre and he will also perform a key role on the road to Tokyo in 2020.
