RTE to stream Dublin 2018 Highlights on RTÉ Player

It was confirmed today that RTÉ, who are a media partner to #Dublin2018, will stream highlights of each of the seven days of the World Para Swimming Allianz European Championships on the RTÉ Player.

#Dublin2018 will be hosted at the National Aquatic Centre from August 13th to the 19th of August as, for the first time ever, Ireland will host a major para sporting event.

Across its platforms RTÉ Sport will keep Irish audiences up-to-date throughout the Championships. Each evening during the competition RTÉ Player will broadcast a half hour highlights programme featuring the very best of the day’s action. This programme will be broadcast live and made available on-demand across RTÉ Player’s website and mobile apps. Visit rte.ie/player or search ‘RTÉ Player’ in your app store for more. RTÉ Sport Online (rte.ie/sport) will carry news, results and interviews during the Championships and John Kenny will report for RTÉ News bulletins on TV and radio. 

Speaking about the announcement of RTÉ’s coverage of the event Miriam Malone, Chairperson of the #Dublin2018 Local Organising Committee said ‘It has been a great boost to the World Para Swimming Allianz European Championships to have RTÉ involved as a media partners. They have already given great coverage to the event across all of their platforms and this is further amplified by the confirmation that the daily highlights package will be streamed live on the RTÉ player each day.’

The eight person Irish team that will compete at #Dublin2018 includes Patrick Flanagan, Ellen Keane, Ailbhe Kelly, Barry McClements, Jonathan McGrath, James Scully, Sean O’Riordan and Nicole Turner.
