Britney Arendse has received a timely boost in her preparations for the World Para Powerlifting championships in Nur Saltan this week after receiving a medal upgrade from the Asia Oceania Championships.
Britney, who did finish fourth in the Asia Oceania championships last year has been upgraded to a bronze medal after Haifa Alnaqbi was eliminated having failed a subsequent Anti Doping test.
Arendse is currently in Nur Saltan where she is preparing to compete in the World Championships which are due to get underway tomorrow. Arendse will certainly be boosted following her upgrade to bronze and will hope that she can make a real statement on a world stage.
