Paralympics Ireland have begun the recruitment process for a new Throws coach. The coach will be an essential member of the Paralympics Ireland team that will compete at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and will particularly closely with the successful Paralympics Ireland throws athletes.
The job holder will act as the technical expert in throws coaching and be responsible for delivering, monitoring and evaluating throws coaching programmes for Paralympics Ireland (PI) panel athletes at PI training camps and competitions. This includes liaising with the Head of Paralympic Athletics (HPA) to develop coaching plans for all Panel events and leading the throws coaching team at such events. This position will be a key member of the Irish Paralympic Athletics Team at major championships including Paralympic Games in Tokyo 2020.
