Paralympics Ireland have today welcomed the announcement of the Sport Ireland Investment for 2020.
Paralympics Ireland have received €700,000 in high performance funding and a further €400,000 in High Performance Operations and Administration funding along with Special Project Funding of €200,000.
This vital finding will help Paralympics Ireland continue to put in place the best possible support for our current and future Paralympians and is an especially welcome boost in a year that will see the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic games taking place in August and September.
Speaking about the funding announcement Paralympics Ireland CEO, Miriam Malone, said ‘We are very grateful to Sport Ireland for this funding that is so vital to the operation of our sports. This is an important year for Paralympic sports and the support of Sport Ireland and the government will allow us to strive for the types of performance that have made our country so proud in the past.’
