Lisa Clancy – President
Lorcan Claffey – Vice President
Lorcan is a Chartered Certified Accountant with 30-years experience in practice, industry and the voluntary sector. He trained and qualified with Newmarket Partnership, a boutique audit and finance/strategy advisory practice and became a Partner there in 1997. He was responsible for training and mentoring more than 100 trainee accountants from trainees to qualified professionals. As Partner he was a registered auditor, business advisor, management consultant and expert witness. He became CFO of a US based property development and management group with annual revenues in excess of $100m in 2006 and managed its finances until 2022. He currently serves as FC for St. Catherine’s Association CLG, a Section 39 service provider based in Wicklow. He is an enthusiastic runner and cyclist.
Patrice Dockery – Vice President
Patrice Dockery is a retired Irish international para wheelchair racing athlete who represented Ireland at six Paralympic Games from 1988 to 2008. She was honoured to serve as Team Ireland’s flag bearer at the Beijing 2008 Opening Ceremony. A European Champion in the 5000m, Patrice also placed 6th in the event at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games. Since retiring, she has remained active in the Para sport community through wheelchair basketball, coaching, and leadership roles. Patrice is a long-standing member of the Irish Wheelchair Association Sport Women in Sport Committee and a graduate of the Women in Sport Leadership Programme. She currently works in training and development with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Lisa Fallon
Having pursued her dream of working in professional football, Lisa’s path has taken her from a career in sports reporting to being a key leader in the successes of a number of high-profile sports teams. Over the past decade she has smashed glass ceilings as Ireland’s first ever female to coach in the professional men’s game. With 26 games in the men’s Champions League and Europa League under her belt, Lisa has won league and cup doubles with Cork City FC, Chelsea FC women, been part of the Northern Ireland men’s national team set-up that reached the last 16 of the 2016 European Championships and was also part of the all-conquering Dublin men’s senior football backroom team in 2018. She is also the first Irish female coach to manage a professional football team in the top two tiers of the game in England and has extensive experience as a high-performance/strategy consultant to a number of high-profile sports and corporate organisations.
John Bolger
John Bolger has had a very successful athletic career and has represented both Ireland and Canada at International level. While living in Canada he was in the top 10 distance athletes across the country and won both national and provincial medals. He also competed at elite marathon level in Canada, US and Japan but his proudest achievement was winning the Dublin Marathon – one of the few Dubs to do so! John has extensive overseas experience at senior management level and has worked in North America and Central Europe in Finance Director and General Manager roles. John remains a sport fanatic and takes an active interest in most sports. Golf is his main sport at present, and he has also successfully managed inter club teams with his local golf club.
Darren Coombes
Darren Coombes joined the Board of Paralympics Ireland at the Annual General Meeting in 2024. He is currently the CEO of Triathlon Ireland, a position he has held since 2020. Prior to his appointment as CEO of Triathlon Ireland he served as Operations Director since 2015. He brings a great depth of sporting knowledge having else worked with Table Tennis Ireland and the Football Association of Ireland.
Larry Fenlon
Larry Fenlon is a founder of Leman Solicitors and LexTech, a legal technology company. Larry has been at the heart of innovation in both entities. As managing partner of Leman Solicitors from 2007 to 2018, Larry oversaw the growth from start up to a mid-tier commercial law firm with €5m turnover and 40 employees. Larry was central to innovation in the law firm, including: paperless office, online client access and fixed fees. Larry also cultivated a dynamic culture for a modern law firm, with core values of ‘Bravery, Humanity and Excellence’. In 2017 Larry founded LexTech, a company which designs and implements solutions for digitising, automating and data capturing legal, compliance and regulatory processes.
Martin Gordon – Athlete Representative
Martin Gordon is a retired Irish Paralympian who represented Ireland at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. As a tandem sprint cycling specialist, he achieved multiple top-five finishes and set a national record in the men’s B 1,000m time trial at Paris 2024 alongside pilot Eoin Mullen.
Martin made his international debut at the 2017 Para-cycling World Championships and has since been a strong advocate for athlete representation. He now serves as the Athlete Representative on the Board of Paralympics Ireland, bringing both experience and insight to the role. Off the track, Martin holds a law degree and works in the legal division of An Garda Síochána.
