Barcelona welcomed Team Ireland to the Paralympic Games in 1992. Team Ireland made the short journey to Spain with high hopes and they delivered on those hopes by winning 20 medals including a bronze medal win for the football team.
It was to be a silver and bronze Paralympic Games as Irish athletes missed out on the top step of the podium for the first time.
