Orla Comerford and Lana Sutton will lead the Irish interest in a major international Women’s Mixed Classification Para 100m at the Morton Games on Friday, 10 July.
Sponsored by Allianz, the race is being introduced to the Morton Games programme for the first time and will bring two of Ireland’s leading Para sprinters together with a field featuring Paralympic and World Championship medallists.
Comerford returns to Morton Stadium as the reigning double world champion, having won gold in both the T13 100m and 200m at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi.
The Raheny Shamrock athlete has continued that form into the 2026 season and set a new 100m personal best of 11.76 seconds at the FBK Games in Hengelo in June.
She will be joined by fellow Irish sprinter Lana Sutton, who competes in the T38 classification. Sutton reached two finals at her first World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, finishing eighth in the 100m before placing sixth in the 200m in a personal-best time of 26.77 seconds.
The Irish pair will face a strong international field led by New Zealand’s Anna Grimaldi, a three-time Paralympic champion. Grimaldi won T47 long jump gold at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 before winning the T47 200m title at Paris 2024.
Australia’s Rhiannon Clarke will also compete in Dublin. The T38 sprinter won World Championship silver over 400m in 2023 and previously secured bronze medals in the 100m and 200m at the 2019 World Championships.
Hungary’s Luca Ekler arrives with two Paralympic T38 long jump titles, having won in Tokyo and successfully defended her title in Paris. She also won silver in the T38 400m at Paris 2024.
Great Britain’s Didi Okoh won bronze in the T63 100m at both the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships.
Germany’s Jule Ross, a T47 athlete, won 400m bronze at the 2025 World Championships after reaching the Paralympic final in Paris the previous year. Norway’s Paris Paralympian Ida-Louise Øverland is also included in the field.
Northern Ireland’s Sally Brown completes the entry. Brown won T46 200m bronze at the 2011 World Para Athletics Championships and has also medalled at World Junior and European level.
The Women’s Mixed Classification Para 100m forms part of the main international programme at the Morton Games, which takes place at Morton Stadium in Santry on Friday, 10 July.
