Swim Ireland is seeking an ambitious and visionary National Performance Director to lead the future of high-performance aquatics on the island of Ireland. This senior leadership role oversees the full Performance Programme including Swimming, Para Swimming, Diving and Open Water, with a mission to drive international success at Olympic, Paralympic, World and European levels.

The National Performance Director will shape and deliver long term performance strategies, lead and inspire coaches and athletes, and foster a culture built on excellence, wellbeing, integrity and empowerment. With responsibility for strategic planning, people management, system development, innovation, and high-stakes performance outcomes, this role is central to Swim Ireland’s ambition to remain one of the country’s top-performing sports.

Working closely with key partners such as Sport Ireland, Sport NI, the Olympic Federation of Ireland and Paralympics Ireland, the Director will build strong relationships, oversee national training centres, support club performance pathways, and champion athlete and staff welfare. This position offers the opportunity to influence the future of Irish aquatics at the highest level, contributing to a growing, progressive organisation in an exciting period of national investment and development.
