Lana Sutton Sets Personal Best at National Senior Indoor Championships

The 2025 National Senior Indoor Championships took place on this weekend, bringing together the biggest names in Irish athletics for an exciting weekend of competition. The event saw the country’s top track and field athletes vying for national titles and showcasing their talent as they continue their journey towards international success.

Lana Sutton started her 2025 season with a bang setting a personal best on Sunday in the 6om with a time of 8.23. She also lined out in the Senior Women Long Jump with a best jump of 4.25.

Paralympian Aaron Shorten competed in the 1500m, delivering an impressive time of 4:02.59. His performance was just a few seconds shy of qualifying for the semi-finals.

Para Athletics Academy member Damien Moyles clocked a time of 58.27 in his 400m heat, while his academy teammate, Fionan Ruane, recorded a time of 7.69 in his 60m heat.
