Para-Athletics to Host Webinar Series – “What is….Para-Athletics”

Athletics Ireland, in association with Paralympics Ireland and Offaly Sport Partnership, are hosting a 5-part webinar series on all things Para-Athletics. The webinars will take place every second Wednesday from 7-8pm starting on 31 January 2024.

Para-Athletics is in a period of growth in Ireland, and the focus of the webinars is to inform and update anyone interested in this great sport. It will be relevant to athletes, coaches, parents, teachers, administrators, and any others.

The webinars will be facilitated by leading athletics coaches, administrators and officials, with extensive para-athletics expertise. There will be an event specific focus where most of the event groups will be covered. There will also be a webinar for officials specifically to inform and enable current competitions to be more inclusive for para-athletes.

Week 1 – 31st January: What is…Para Athletics, an Introduction

Week 2 – 14th February: What is…Para Sprints & Jumps

Week 3 – 28th February: What is Para Throws

Week 4 – 14th March: What is Para Endurance

Week 5 – 27th March: Para Athletics Officiating
