The 2025 McCullagh International Open Meet takes place at the Aurora Sports & Leisure Centre in Bangor, Northern Ireland, from Friday, February 21st, to Sunday, February 23rd, 2025. The event hosted by Swim Ireland in association with Swim Ulster, is a prestigious event and a key fixture on the swimming competition calendar.
Named after Dr. McCullagh, a distinguished figure in Irish swimming, the meet was conceived to provide a competitive platform for swimmers to showcase their talents and achieve qualifying standards for international competitions. Over the years, it has grown in stature, becoming a key fixture for swimmers aiming to elevate their performance on the national and international stage.
Paralympian’s Róisín Ní Ríain, Barry McClements, Dearbhaile Brady, and Deaten Registe will take to the pool to compete along with four peformance pathway athletes Luke Brennan, Luke O’ Donoghue, Ellie Lynch and Siomha Brady.
