A number of Paralympics Ireland sponsors have been shortlisted for the 2025 European Sponsorship Association Awards.

PTSB, Allianz and Aer Lingus have been nominated across seven categories including a nod for PTSB and Allianz in Best Sport Sponsorship.

The European Sponsorship Association Awards (ESA Awards) is the perfect showcase for best in class campaigns that cover the entire spectrum of sponsorship disciplines – recognising industry excellence right across Europe.

PTSB were recognised for their ‘Human Behind the Athlete’ campaign which saw them delve deeper into the human side of athletes’ journeys, emphasising their personal struggles and perseverance over their entire lives making them ‘Altogether More Human’, rather than just the mere seconds they competed for during the Games.

For this excellent campaign, featuring Nicole Turner, Britney Arendse, Jordan Lee, and Ronan Grimes, PTSB were shortlisted for Best Use of Content, Best Use of PR, Best Use of Talent and overall Sport Sponsorship.

Meanwhile Allianz Ireland were nominated for ‘Best Use of Content’ for their Inner Drive which saw them collaborate with Off The Ball to interview athletes who overcame significant reasons to drop out of sport, but who leveraged the positive benefits of sport during difficult times. Inner Drive features insights from athletes’ families, friends, and coaches, showcasing their journey through those tough times.

Allianz Ireland also received a nod for Media Sponsorship and Best Use of Measurement & Insight for their work which included their partnership of Paralympics Ireland.

Meanwhile Aer Lingus’ support of Paralympics Ireland was nominated for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in Sponsorship. The airline played a pivotal role for Team Ireland this summer, flying our athletes, coaches and staff to Paris for the Games and hosting a memorable homecoming in Dublin airport upon our return.
