The annual UCD Inclusive Meet is a highlight of the athletics calendar with strong performances across the board. Lana Sutton impressed in both the 100m and 200m, while the men’s ambulant 100m mixed class delivered a competitive race featuring Cathal Ryan (Senior squad member and part of the Aspire Programme), Fíonan Ruane (Para Athletics Academy member), and Alex Lee. Paralympians Greta Streimikyte and Aaron Shorten also put in solid efforts in the 1500m.
A huge thank you to Sport Ireland and UCD for their continued support of Para athletics.
The Para Athletics Academy is a collaboration between Paralympics Ireland’s Dr. Alison O’ Riordan and Professor Kate Pumpa from UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science.
The Aspire Programme, proudly supported by Deloitte, is an athlete development initiative that empowers the next generation of Irish Para athletes through immersive camps, mentorship, and holistic education, equipping them for success in sport and beyond.
