Soon to be Paralympian Shauna Bocquet and rising star Lana Sutton both shone at the Wanda Diamond League last weekend. Stars of the athletics world including Irish sprinter Rhasidat Adeleke, gathered in London to compete at the tenth Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season.
Bocquet took to the track in the 800m Wheelchair Women and stormed home with a new PB of 1:48.42 and a 4th place finish. The Galway native was announced as part of the Para athletics team that will travel to Paris in August to represent Ireland in Paris. It will be her first Paralympic Games.
Sutton ran her fastest time over 1oom in the 1oom Ambulent Women, finishing third in a time of 13.10.
