Para rower Steven McGowan picked up the Rowability Award at this year’s Rowing Ireland awards which took place on Saturday, November 19th.
The Rowability Award recognises exceptional contributions to adaptive rowing and inclusion within Rowing Ireland.
After taking up rowing less than two years ago Steven relocated to Cork to hone his craft with rowing partner Katie O’ Brien. Their sacrifice and commitment paid off with the pair qualifying their boat for in the PR2 Mixed Double for Paris 2024.
