Team Ireland deliver strong results at Para Dressage European Championships

The 2025 FEI Para Dressage European Championships took place in Ermelo, the Netherlands, over the weekend, with Team Ireland delivering a series of strong performances.

The team, consisting of Paralympian Jessica McKenna alongside Katie Reilly, Clodagh Walsh and Angela Lyons, finished 8th overall in a highly competitive field.

On Saturday, McKenna and D.C.I Cerruti were competing in Grade III and got the day off to a solid start with a score of 66.9%. Also impressive in Grade III were Reilly and Keystone Dawn Chorus, scoring 67.9%.

Clodagh Walsh and Chantal posted an excellent 67.584% in Grade I, while Angela Lyons also delivered a determined test in Grade IV, scoring 63.162%.

A highlight of the day saw Reilly (Grade III) and Walsh (Grade I) qualify for Sunday’s prestigious Freestyle Final, a fantastic achievement and opportunity to showcase their partnership on the international stage. That proved to be another strong showing with Reilly and Keystone Dawn Chorus finishing 8th with a score of 71.247% while Walsh and Chantal finished 7th in Grade I scoring 71.367%.
