After a two-week break from our weekly Women In Sport Focus, we return with swimming superstar, Ellen Keane.
Ellen has been no stranger to podium success and has helped put para-swimming on the map in Ireland with a number of medals on the world stage, including a gold at the European Championships and bronze in the SB8 100m Breaststroke, at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
Amazingly, this was her third Paralympic Games, she represented Team Ireland at the age of 13, when she swam at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games then again at London 2012.
The Clontarf native has not looked back since, winning gold and bronze at the Dublin 2018 European Championships, a year later she claimed bronze at the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships, held in London.
It has been a brilliant career for Ellen so far, who is not finished yet as she looks towards the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games next year.
