This weekend significant world class results were marked by Orla Comerford and Mary Fitzgerald with both athlete’s performances helping them to climb their respective world rankings to the number two position.
Fitzgerald shattered her personal best with a throw of 8:87m at the Paula Radcliffe Stadium in Loughborough, adding over 1/2meter to her previous PB.
On home soil team mate Comerford smashed her 100m PB with a new time of 12.05 at the AAI May Open. Last week she also broke her 2oom PB from 2015 clocking a time of 25.17.
