Irish Swimmers Compete Well in Sheffield

All 9 Irish Swimmers competed in their first events at the World Series in Sheffield this morning with some very strong performances recorded as 3 of the team progressed through to this evening’s finals.

Nicole Turner showed excellent form as she progressed through to the final in 2 events; the 100m free and 100m Breaststroke events. Nicole will be the first Irish finalist this evening as she goes back in the pool at 5:05pm. Barry McClements was also one of the top performers this morning as he progressed through to the 100m Freestyle. The third Irish finalist is Ellen Keane who has maintained her performance levels throughout this year to reach the 100m breaststroke final.
