
A 10 person Irish team are currently in Paris competing at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix event. The event will see the Irish athletes competing against world class competition as they continue their preparations for the World Championships in November.
The event will see Michael McKillop make a welcome return to international competition when he runs in the 1500m at 3:30pm and he will have Irish company in that event as team mate, David Leavy joins him on the start line.
Alex Lee is new to the squad and will be competing in his first of 2 events this afternoon when he is at the starting blocks for the 100m at 11:55am. European champions Greta Streimikyte returns to 1500m action at 3pm and Orla Barry will be the last Irish athlete to compete today in the discus at 5pm.
Mary Fitzgerald will compete tomorrow in the Shot Put whilst Noelle Lenihan and Niamh McCarthy will both get their competition underway in the Discus and Alex Lee will return to action, this time in the 200m.
