Ní Riain started off Friday evening in style adding a bronze medal to her collection. A time of 4:44.62 secured the Limerick swimmer her fourth medal of the championships. She has one event left tomorrow, the 200m IM.

Speaking after her final Ní Riain said, “Yeah I’m happy that swim. It was definitely a tough one but yeah, happy with the result”.

Fresh off the back of her gold medal win last night, Nicole Turner added another to her haul winning bronze in her final.

Speaking after her final Turner said, “Medals are great, I won’t lie but I think this championships is all about breaking down the race. It’s kind of our last big meet now before Paris so it is to get the mistakes out of the way here. It’s all just a learning curve to see what we can do better and then bring that into Paris”.

McClements finished 4th in his final in a time of 1:04.52. It was his final event of the week.

Tomorrow is the last chance for Irish swimmers to win European medals for the 2024 edition of the championships with the possibility of four swimmers in three finals.

Ellen Keane will contest her preferred event the 100m breaststroke.

Turner and Brady will once again compete against each other in the 50m butterfly final.
