Shauna Bocquet has completed a busy block of international competition in Switzerland, racing across three events over 10 days.

The T54 wheelchair racer began her European season at the 52nd Swiss Nationals in Arbon before continuing on to the World Para Athletics Grand Prix, ParAthletics 2026, in Nottwil, which took place from 21 to 23 May.

Across the Swiss series, Bocquet competed in 11 races across five distances. The block also marked her first track competitions in her new racing chair.

Bocquet recorded a personal best in the 400m and her second fastest time over 5000m, with conditions across the series ranging from rain and wind to hail and sunshine.

The Nottwil event brought together leading wheelchair racers from around 40 countries, providing a strong competitive setting as Bocquet continued her season across the 400m, 800m, 1500m and 5000m distances.

Speaking about the competitions, Bocquet said:

“Switzerland had everything in terms of conditions, from rain and wind to hail and sunshine. It was a tough 10 days of racing, with three competitions and 11 races across five distances, but I’m pleased to come away with a personal best in the 400m and my second fastest time over 5000m. It was also my first track competition in my new chair, so there are plenty of positives to take forward.”

The Swiss racing block forms part of Bocquet’s 2026 international season.
