World champion and three time Paralympian Greta Streimikyte claimed victory in the VI 10K category at the 2026 Women’s Mini Marathon in Dublin, crossing the line first in 35:57.

Representing UCD A.C., Streimikyte led the category on a record-breaking day for the event, with 30,000 participants taking to the streets of Dublin for one of the biggest all-female participation events in the world.

In the VI 10K category, Streimikyte finished ahead of Sinead Kane of Le Cheile A.C., who took second place in 42:04. Narangarav Gankhuyag finished third in 42:14, with Niamh Phelan fourth in 54:49.

The overall race was won by Chaltu Dida of DSD A.C. in 31:41, with  Sorcha Nic Dhomhnaill of Limerick Country Club A.C. second in 32:44 and Íde Nic Dhomhnaill of West Limerick A.C. third in 33:58.

The Women’s Mini Marathon, now in its 44th year, once again brought together athletes, runners, joggers and walkers from across Ireland and beyond for the 10km route through the capital.

Streimikyte is a three-time Paralympian, having represented Ireland at Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.

The event also saw Irish wheelchair racer and Paris Paralympian Shauna Bocquet line up in Dublin. Bocquet was unable to finish the race after getting a puncture early on the course.
