Ireland’s Rena McCarron Rooney has been named in the table tennis women’s class 1-2 pre-selections for the 2016 Paralympic Games which will be held in Rio this September.
The news was announced by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) at the weekend, with McCarron Rooney selected alongside players including Dorota Buclaw (Poland), Isabelle Lafaye (France) and Clara Podda of Italy.
