Britney Arendse Competes for Ireland
Manchester will be the venue for the season opener for the trio of Irish Para Power Lifters that will be competing in the World Cup event that could be a vital competition on their journey through to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Britney Arendse, Nicola Dore and Oscar Hancock will be the 3 athletes that will carry Irish hopes into the event this weekend and all 3 athletes will be competing on Friday afternoon.
Britney Arendse and Nicola Dore are both due at the bench at 4pm on Friday with Britney competing in the 67kg competition and Nicola in the 61kg class. They will be followed by Oscar Hancock at 5:45pm in the 65kg class.
All 3 athletes will be hoping to record strong performances that will gain ranking points towards Tokyo 2020 Ranking Points.
