Fifth Place Finishes for Turner and McClements

Both Turner and McClements were in the pool for Team Ireland during this evening’s session of the Para Swimming World Championships. After strong starts both swimmers finished 5^th in their respective finals.

Speaking after her final Turner said, “To be honest I’m really happy with that, I got a bit too excited on the first 50 and then I paid for it on the last 50 meters but that was about as enjoyable as a 200m IM gets.”

Róisín Ní Riain is back in the pool tomorrow and looking to build on her silver medal success. She is in the 100m Backstroke Final during tomorrow’s evening session.
