There was a strong Irish presence at the World Triathlon Para Cup on Saturday with four Irish para triathletes in action (along with two guides).
Four strong performances saw four top 10 finishes including three podium places for Ireland in Malaga.
Cassie Cava placed first in her category (PTS3) with a time of 01:21:49.
A strong race from Donnacha McCarthy and his guide Sean Husband earned them second place in their category (PTVI) by the tiniest of margins in a time of 01:02:19. Spanish athlete Jose Luis García Serrano took the number one spot in a close time of 01:02:07.
Judith MacCombe and her guide Eimear Mullan finished third in their category (PTVI) in a time of 01:11:54.
Tom Williamson (PTS5) placed 6th finishing in a time of 01:01:18 on his international race debut.
