The “Fastest Paralympian on the Planet” Jason Smyth was inducted into RTE’s Sport Hall of Fame, an honor that was announced at the 2023 RTE’s Sport Awards in December.
Smyth retired in March 2023 having never lost a competitive Para Athletics event throughout his entire career, winning six Paralympic gold medals, 8 Gold medals at World Championships 6 gold medals at European Championships and a gold at the World Indoor Championships over 60 meters.
