Paralympics Ireland are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Joan Kennedy Kelly.
Joan held the position of president of Archery Ireland at the time of her passing. She was a proud supporter of the development of the Para Archery programme that has produced two time Paralympian Kerrie Leonard.
Joan was a mother of four and will be sadly missed by her family, friends and the Archery community.
Posting on Instagram (ker_leonard) Kerrie Leonard said “My thoughts go out to the Kelly’s and extended Kelly family on Joan Kennedy’s passing. She was a sincere, authentic and warm woman whose positivity and enthusiasm shone out in everything she did. She will be deeply missed by all the Archery community and may she rest in peace.”
