Para Triathlon

Irish para triathletes have been competing at Para Triathlon World Cup events in Malaga and Taranto.


In Malaga there were three podium finishes and a strong 6th for the Irish contingent:


1st – Cassie Cava (PTS3) 01:21.49

2nd – Donnacha McCarthy & Sean Husband (PTVI) 01:02.19

3rd – Judith MacCombe & Eimear Nicholls (PTVI) 01:11.54

6th – Tom Williamson (PTS5) 01:01.18



This was followed up by more podium success in Taranto:


2nd – Cassie Cava (PTS3) 01:23:11

2nd – Judith MacCombe & Eimear Nicholls (PTVI) 01:10:59

2nd – Tom Williamson (PTS5) 01:02:38


Dublin Marathon

Two time Paralympian Patrick Monahan successfully defended his Dublin Marathon title on Sunday in an impressive time of 1:41.03.

Monahan’s next race will be the New York Marathon on Sunday, November 5th.



Padraic Moran and Dylan Nelson travelled to Greece to compete at the Heraklion World Boccia Challenger. Both athletes advanced from their groups to the quarter final stages. Unfortunately their competition ended at this stage Padraic finishing 5th overall in his category (BC1), and Dylan 6th overall in his category(BC2).
