Paralympics Ireland has welcomed the funding boost announced by Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport & Media, Catherine Martin TD and Minister of State for Sport and Gaeltacht Affairs, Jack Chambers TD. The funding announcement will see an injection of €85million euro into Irish Sport to help alleviate the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic.
The fund, which will be administered by Sport Ireland, will see €64 million distributed amongst National Governing Bodies for sport. This will include NGB’s with Para sporting programmes and will help to ensure that our Irish Paralympians will be supported throughout the Covid pandemic as they aim to win medals in Tokyo, Paris, Los Angeles and beyond.
