Róisín Ní Riain Nominated for RTÉ Young Sportsperson of the Year

The six person shortlist for the RTÉ Young Sportsperson of the Year has been revealed and Limerick para swimmer Róisín Ní Riain is one of the nominees for 2023.

Ní Riain won gold and silver at this years Para Swimming World Championships in Manchester, qualifying a Paris 2024 slot for Team Ireland in the process.

The nominees also include a Munster number eight, a Premier League star, two medal winners at the European U20 Athletics Championships, and world champions in sailing.

The 2022 winner of the award was sprinting sensation Rhasidat Adeleke.

Joanne Cantwell and Darragh Maloney will present the RTÉ Sport Awards 2023 on Saturday 16 December.
