It was a fantastic night for our Paralympians at the Cycling Ireland Awards held in Santry on Saturday last. Ireland’s World Champion duo of Katie George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal were selected for the Outstanding Achievement Awards and Mark Rohan was added to the Hall of Fame.
Katie George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal were selected for an Outstanding Achievement Award after the Rio Medallists claimed their first world title this September as they won time trial and road race gold medals at the UCI Para Cycling Road World Championships in South Africa in September.
Also on Saturday evening our Para Cycling legend, Mark Rohan, was added to the Hall of Fame. The 2012 double gold medallist was recognised for his achievements in the sport as well as for his role in popularising Para Sports at, and in the run up to, London 2012.
Congratulations to all 3 award winners and best of luck to all of our Para Cyclists as they compete for their country throughout 2018.
