Paralympics Ireland welcomes the newly appointed Athletes Commission who have been appointed this week and will now serve a new term that will conclude after the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Catherine Walsh has returned to the Athletes Commission and, after a vote from her commission colleagues she has returned as Chair of the commission and resumes her place as a board member representing the Athletes voice. Also returning to the Commission are Jason Smyth, John Twomey and Padraig Moran from Boccia. The newest members of the Commission are Breda Bernie (Equestrian), Martin Gordon (Cycling), Michael McKillop (Athletics) and Greta Streimikyte who represented the country in Rio and Tokyo.
We would like to wish the new Athletes Commission the very best in the coming years and looking forward to seeing them continue to represent Irish athletes at the highest levels.
