Para Athletics Talent Search

PARA ATHLETICS VIRTUAL TALENT ID PROGRAMME (1080 × 566 px)

Paralympics Ireland have today launched a new pilot Virtual Talent Search programme. The programme is specifically designed to guide potential athletes into the Para Athletics programme.

The Virtual Talent search programme is introduced by 6 time Paralympic Champion Jason Smyth who demonstrates the specific movements necessary to obtain an initial assessment of a participants range of movement and base level abilities.

Participants are asked to record a range of 10 movements as demonstrated by Jordan Lee, Greta Streimikyte and Patrick Monahan. Once the movements are complete they can be uploaded via the Virtual form or through the use of WhatsApp to our high performance department who will then be able to make an initial assessment. Potential athletes are then funneled into the system based on their potential and introduced to clubs to continue their athletic development.

The application form to apply is available here: https://forms.gle/iic59sxsLNv2oS6UA. and full details of the Virtual Talent Search programme can be found HERE

Applicants must be over the age of 15 and have parental consent before uploading images of videos.
