Ireland is proudly represented at the prestigious CHI AL SHAQAB in Doha by two talented equestrians, Paralympian Sarah Slattery and Katie Reilly, alongside their powerful mares, Savona and Keystone Dawn Chorus (Lottie).
CHI AL SHAQAB is a premier equestrian event held annually at the Al Shaqab Equestrian Center in Doha, Qatar. Established in 2014, it has become a significant fixture in the international equestrian calendar, attracting top riders and horses from around the globe and provides a great opportunity for our Irish athletes to demonstrate their skills on the international stage.
The event will feature a series of Para Dressage Grand Prix competitions, with the following schedule:
- February 20, 2025: Para Grand Prix A
- February 21, 2025: Para Grand Prix B
- February 22, 2025: Para Grand Prix Freestyle
This marks a significant milestone for both riders. Katie Reilly and Lottie will be competing internationally for the first time together, an exciting moment for the pair. Meanwhile, Sarah Slattery, the Irish Field Dressage Rider of the Year, continues her journey following a stellar debut at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
